No it's not a scam. I just gave him a call and he said he'd like me and my dad to come out and look at it saturday so that's what I plan on doing. He sayd the car has 140k on it and the engine has less than 100k. Check out the car, might look very different in person. M3's go for this price all the time if its not well sorted and if it is kosher snap it up. If its a good deal though it wont last till Sat.Comment

A good indicator that it's probably a scam (aside from the obvious) is that he wants an amount which is just under the CTR reporting threshold.
The only other people that are really aware of this stuff (aside from those in banking, like myself) are thieves, crooks, liars and the unaware person who had one filed on them when they decided to deposit over 10k in cash at the local bank.
