          i must be lucky then. Picked up my 89 325i for $1300 here in the states. 112k miles, two spots of rust.

              normally if there is rust you can see easily, your rusting some place else that you can't see. its lurks for a while, than grabs ya.

                so i just talked to the owner.

                hes a 66yrld guy and lastime he replaced the timing belt at 120,000kms. i am gueesing it could go anytime on the way back from his house or somthing.

                i offerd 4500 if he takes it i will buy it.

                      I didn't think so either, but I just saw a 325is with an automatic and the VIN to back it up so I guess they did. It's the 4-door that never came in IS trim.

                        hmmm frik hopefully he takes my 4500$ then drop it off at my house because i am not risking the drive with a rusted out timing belt. **fingers crossed**

                        i mean for 270k i would still buy it its driven by some 70yrld lady so its like nothing, and i know M20s can see 400k miles no problem.not to sure about the auto lol

                            M3 seats, wat?

                            those look like standard sport seats to me, and that doesnt mean it's a sport model, i had those in my base model 325.

                              That is sig worthy, so if you buy it who are you going to pay to replace the timing belt? Because if you think a rubber belt is capable of rusting you are not capable of replacing it.
