The first thread demonstates that Rota is willing to sell an unsafe wheel. Take a quick look at the hole placement. You'd have to be crazy to run those.
The warpage of the wheels in the second thread I posted is not a result of improper fitment, nor is it in the lug area.
Laugh all you want, but neither of those threads depict safe wheels.sigpic

The second link has nothing to do with the quality of Rota wheels today...that was years ago and the only reason that even happened was because that cars caliper came loose and it got caught between the spokes causing the spokes to bend...not to mention it was at a track event....this all happened at very high speeds...it's like hitting a pothole at a high speed and bending a wheel. The first thread demonstates that Rota is willing to sell an unsafe wheel. Impact WILL cause damage if it's hard enough.
Wish I could say the same about this Advan wheel that just warped out of no where ;)
On the first thread, there's still enough room on the lug seat to mount the wheels safely...the wheels go through safety inspections in ALL BOLT PATTERNS, so that wheel shown in the first thread was tested and it did past...were there any reported issues with the ones that were sold? Nope...and there won't be, because the wheels are tested and they passed.sigpicComment

They are. Rotas are fine. If someone wants to not like them because they "steal" other wheels designs? Fine. I have no issue with that. However, their quality has, actually, been proven over the years. I have used them on the track, on multiple vehicles, and have never had an issue. And I wouldn't say I have a ton of mechanical empathy when I'm out there, either.
