'87 or '88?

ok so recently, ive been thinking and wondering. Is my E30 an 88 or 87? its build date is 10/87.

i know the automotive new year is before then, but does that mean that my car is considered plastic bumper swappable? (<-- wow that word is real...)

so please help me out lol. would love to do plastic bumpers in due time.

Your E30 has the same build date as mine. You have an 88 with DBs and late fog lights.

They look quite different.

88's have larger tail lights, front valence, lower rear fender arches and a rear valence.

If your car looks like this, it's swappable.
