    floor jack maintenance

I've noticed my jack doesnt lift all the way through the full range of the handle. Think the seals are wearing out, or is it from losing oil?

This topic is relevant to my interests. I have a jack that could use some servicing.

I have a US general aluminum. Just curious. I don't want to open it up only to find out I cant put it together if its pressurized.

          That is my maintenance program.

Both. You need more oil, probably as a result of your seals leaking. Either that, or you turned it upside down or something and didn't use it long enough for the oil to resettle.

When they dont jack up all the way, usually that means a seal is bad and it needs jack oil.
