True but there is no "fooling" involved. It is fact as proven by the rising prices since 2004 and all collector car magazines and classic car mags have unanimously voted this car as such. But on the modding philosophy, I agree. Do what makes YOU happy.

I'd say the m3 will DEFINITELY be a collectible car... it's only 20 years old at this point which isn't that old by car standards. I'd say in another 10 years they will be at their prime and be worth lots of $$$ for the unmolested ones as they are becoming more rare every day...

If I had an M i'd keep it fairly simple. Either coilovers or a nice set of lowering springs/shocks. for wheels I'd go Rs' or style 5s. Gurney flap and Evo III parts if you could afford them. I'd keep the interior stock, maybe a new steering wheel though. Throw on a stainless exhaust like Stromung and call it good.

Do whatever the fuck you want.

Anything you do cleanly is fine. People bow down and worship this car... it's just a fucking car, and it's here to serve you. So make it however you want.

That said, I wouldn't do anything crazy. Steering wheel maybe, seats maybe, coilovers, wheels, CF flap, CF splitter, then someday a 2.5 build and exhaust.

Please do not mod ... stock(ish) status for an e30 M3 is where it's at ... if you want to mod your face off I'll trade you my 325e and you can go to town :D

Some older guy had an E30 M3 with an LS6 in it, he's got a video or two of it running but no action stuff.
