Is this a rare car?

I was driving to work today, and got passed by a white E21 Baur cabrio with the square Kamei headlight conversion. I immediatley flipped a bitch and found it parked outside a bank. It's not in the greatest shape, but is still nice. I've never even heard of a Baur E21, were there many made?

Not many were made, and they are all grey-market in the US.

Its most likely a 320-6

yeah they're pretty rare...

less than 4,600 e21 baur's were ever made/converted, and like jordan said, they were all euro cars (with the majority of them being 320/6, followed by 323i's, and very little 4cyl models)

IMO, the convertible tops are kinda ugly & the car itself is very unsafe if it ever rolled....because bascially all baur did was chop off the roof, along w/ the C & B pillars, leaving the stock A-pillar which wasn't reinforced like more modern convertibles.
