    New guy here

Hey folks. I did some searching and couldn't find a dedicated new members thread, so I figured it'd be ok to make an introductory thread. If I missed it, please lemme know, kthnx.

My names kile. I don't have an e30. I have a POS 02 WRblue WRX impreza. Biggest mistake of my life. a year and 3 grand in repairs (including a ground up ej20 rebuild by yours truly) later, I still can't drive it.

Before that, I owned a really nice, fun, reliable, and CHEAP 93 325is. I've also owned a 72 Datsun 1200, an 84 RX7 with a SBC350, an 89 Nissan 240sx, and a really sweet 87 Dodge Aires station wagon. I was a mechanic for a number of years, then I decided to try my hand at selling the cars I worked on (Ford). That didn't work out, so now im just doing whatever pays the bills. Eventually I hope to go to school again.

I've always loved the looks and potential the E30 chassis has, and lets face it: The S14 is one of the best sounding engines... Period. As soon as the planets align, and the gods look favorably upon me, and I can sell my POS subaru... I'll be looking for an E30 325. An M3 would be nice, but I'm not ready for that kind of responsibility. I hope to learn a few new things here, and eventually contribute myself. Thanks everyone!

    -Kile

hello kile. bit of a newb myself. been working on 70s 2002s and volkswagens for years. driving the wheels off my new e30 now. bought wrecked, fixed myself, and waited a year for title stuff but it was worth it. these cars have great potential. hope you get yours soon.

Repost articles, ie, the rally 318, the corvette, or the two M3's.

                    You spelled Kyle wrong.
                    jk Welcome to r3v.
Heres the link to the For Sale section if you havent already found it.

                    Good luck finding an e30!
I recommend a plastic bumpered e30, you dont want to deal with the diving boards from the earlier models.
Heres a good one for sale kinda near you:

I honestly don't care about the bumpers or the color or the number of doors lol. as long as its manual, and a 6 cylinder in decent shape I'll jump on it. I just really regret buying a subaru. Time to go back to what I know.

if only I could track down a touring without having to fly across the sea.

                              Welcome!!

A friend of mine owned a 04 WRX, it was really fun to drive. And now my ex is buying a '09 WRX. I am not really a fan but the new 2011 STi is really sexy. EVO 9 FTW!
