takes about 7 eng revolutions before she fires and even then struggles a little. idle feels like a slight hesitation. not bad but not smooth. turning key on before start a couple of times seems to help (fuel pressure prob?). also, slightly tapping pedal after a few cranks helps too. so far have replaced dis cap, 02 sensor, cleaned throttle body, new icv, swapped mass air meters, new fuel and air filters, plugs, smoke checked for vacuum leaks and pretty sure i ohm checked tps resistance. checked so many things a couple details are getting fuzzy. anywho, just wanted to get some other opinions from some vets. little new to e30s. would fuel pressure regulator on its way out do this? bad wires, or weak fuel injectors? thanks for any help

Sounds like maybe a clogged fuel filter, or possibly dirty injectors? Try replacing your fuel filter (just in front of rear drivers side tire underneath) I had similar problems and that cured it.
Next step would be to replace/clean injectors
Edit: Can't read apparently. Weird that fuel filter didn't solve it. Try injectors.Originally posted by Dozyproductions

Fuel Pressure Regulator is leaking off and letting the pressure off the rail would be my next guess.
After that look into the AFM or the injectors them selves. Look for a vac leaks tooOriginally posted by FusionIf a car is the epitome of freedom, than an electric car is house arrest with your wife titty fucking your next door neighbor.

1. Vacuum leaks
2. Injectors or seals
3. FPR you can test the pressure at the fuel rail
4. Fuel pump(s)
5. Rust inside the gas tank.
Get a smoke test for vacuum leaks.
Test your FPR
Pull the fuel pump in the tank, you dont say what e30 you have so it could have two fuel pumps. The one IN the gas tank can get clogged if you have a lot of rust in the tank itself.
Good lucksigpic 1987 325is

I had a similar problem, injectors were leaking into the cylinder, so it was running extremely rich on start up hence why it was taking so long, after start up does the car run decent? If so Id get new injectors.Originally posted by b3albakiithe head was okey .. and in a good mood
