the availability for maintanence parts for the m30 is huge. The motor was in cars for over 20 years in different variations and can be found new on the parts shelf but can also be found in great numbers in junkyards, etc. in great working order. You wont have anytrouble finding the par5ts you need and they won't be as expensive compared to other newer motors.

plus a b34, with a hot b35 cam, b35 motronic 1.3, a chip, or soild tune and a heat wrap for the intake can be had for far less then an m50 and m30b35 and be just as fast as the b35 and ready for boost

i know everyone says go b35 or don't do it, but the b34 is just as good set up right an very very common to find!

But then you need to source a B35 cam anyway, and modify the M20 harness to work with the M30. Wouldn't it be easier to just find a B35 in the first place?

finding the cam isnt that bad honestly, lots of bad b35 heads out there with good cams in them. and no modifing except an adapter to the body harness but its the same as the m50 adapter really.

the b35 harness was a great addition to my b34. and yes i guess you could just go out and get a b35 but i think it would be much easier to source a b34, with trans already attached and then just find the b35 cam and wiring harness. Just seems like a cheaper simpilar solution

The M50 swap has always felt a little bit..."slow" to me. Doing this swap doesn't seem worth the money. If I were going this route, I'd hold out for the S5x.

As for the M30, never driven one, but I'd imagine it's fun.
