    Tischer order

I ordered a rear euro bumper rubber strip moulding and a few other parts form Tischer a few weeks ago. This morning i got an email that my parts arrived from Germany and were shipped out to me,at the shipped cost of $116 .
So i sent them an email and found out the guys who pack this stuff didnt roll it into a ball but put it into a box that was 91" long. Thats a box almost 8 feet long. WTF??? Its a rubber strip!!
Anyhow, the parts manager Jason was very cool and dropped the shipping cost from $116 to $45,which is reasonable i think.
Although the people who package this stuff should know better and hopefully will not do this again i want to give Tischer props for resolving the shipping price quickly and being super proffesional in doing it!!
So, if anyone orders a bumper moulding make sure you put special instructions in there for them to roll it into a ball.

Tischer is definitely a great place to get parts. Sucks that they didn't think about packing it smaller, but hey, everyone makes mistakes. I'm glad they helped you out in the end.
I got a fender roller now! LMK if you need me to roll your fenders or want to rent the tool from me locally.

I am very excited to see these on your car man! I sometimes wish I had an early model so i could rock euro bumpers. Glad it worked out.

I just got a new front valence and is lip from them yesterday. The shipping was 94 bucks, but it is quite possibly the best packaged box I've ever gotten in the mail. Those guys don't mess around with shipping.

I have gotten many packages from them before and never had any issues with their shipping prices or their packaging, but $116 for a rubber strip that can be rolled into a ball and a few little misc. items was crazy.

Good thing they were willing to help. I'll have to check there next time I need parts.

you know rear euro bumper strips have metal in them, so if it is rolled up it may not sit right again and you will have ridges inbetween clips

You can roll a bumper strip up,at the very least fold the sides inward. A 91" box is just retarded.

I have to fight this shit all the time. I order electronic components - and they will be sloppy/lazy. IC's come in tubes - the IC's slide into length wise. It's great for people ordering 20,000 of them, cause they pack really tight. But if you order 10 IC's, rather than take them out and package them correctly, the shipping monkeys just find a bigger, longer box.

My last mouser order was in such a bloated box that they had to stuff it with tons of bubble wrap. I unrolled it all and measured it - it was over 25 feet long. A full roll of bubble wrap from uline is 100ft and 4 feet in diameter! They used a quarter of a roll of bubble wrap!

It's lovely getting a $120 shipping bill for 20 parts. At lease I'm stocked up on bubble wrap for a while.

Well I might have to start using Tischer since my parts guy quit working for BMW.

Thanks for giving us the oppurtunity to fix this! :)

We just replaced our entire shipping dept. to improve our business for our customers...so those guys are still learning the ropes of packaging as small as possible, but also keeping in mind that the items must make it to our customers damaged free. UPS can charge a lot depending on the final size and weight of the packages, along w/ any surcharges bases on the destination address...but we use UPS exclusively as they are simply the best! (or best of the worst maybe..? LOL) In all fairness, they do a great job with tracking info, integration into our order processing software, conflict and claim resolution, etc.....so they are worth the price!

Thanks again for your business and support r3v'ers!!! We are here to help! :)

haha 8 feet long? holy poop, which truck would be bringing that to your house? lol

glad to see it got resolved and another good customer service testimonial is added to R3V for us to use. Id rather pay the little bit extra shipping and know that im dealing with good people, instead of paying 10 bucks less and talk to a machine :)

                              thanks!
