    Experiencing Scheduling 24/7 Shifts

It should say "Experience Scheduling 24/7 Shifts"

Does anyone here have experience scheduling 24/7 shift hours?

6 Man team, Physical personnel has to be on site 24/7/365

I'm looking into 5/4/9 Shift Schemes and 4/10 as well, and the usual 5day / 8 hour shifts

I'm gonna go ahead and guess he's supposed to set up a schedule at work where he has people working 24 / 7, not necessarily the same people, but at least SOMEONE working a shift, and he doesn't know how to set it up without becoming "that fucking asshole" at work who made someone work a jacked up shift...

Depends on how many staff you need (FTEs) each shift. Work load differenced day vs. night. Critical job functions, etc.

What type of crew are you scheduling for?

Honestly, it's not hard to figure out what he was saying and the first three posts were making me lose faith in man kind....

But yeah, don't be that asshole. And I can't help ya, never had to do any scheduling outside of detailing

Aside from printing company with my partner, I am an IT contract and currently working on building out a new NOC/Network Operations group, where there is a person on-site 24/7. The staff is 6 people strong and possibly going to hire third party vendor to cover gaps and overlaps shifts.

And yes I have SOME experience scheduling and manipulating what's already set for improvement but right now I wanted to see if anyone here has had experience time lining hours and man power etc.

Similar to how I propose projects, with amount of estimated hours and people working on it etc.

And unfortunately I am already looked at as the asshole time to time, but it's hard and not efficient to always explain upper level management expectations and try to fill everyone's needs.

Sorry for late reply I had a long day yesterday, but today I'm planning to attend the socal/cerritos meet and see some fellow e30ers in socal

This seems like a perfect place for this thread.

One of our biggest printing client is a lawyer...and if we hadn't mentioned word about our company at conference we met him at, which had NOTHING to do with concerning printing not even remotely related or needing that service....we would not have landed that account.
