    draining oil from the cooler

Does anyone else practice draining their oil from the cooler and drain plug for a more thorough change?

Its really not enough to make a difference. If it held a quart then I would care.

It plus the lines is enough to dirty a filter. And also something to consider when going from dino to synth.

So then it takes two oil changes to go from dino to synth. Not a big deal.

Don't see a need to run synth in an m20/m42 anyway.

I think fucking with the cooler fittings probably isn't a good idea. I would leave it alone lest it should start leaking on you.

There is a little o ring thats easy to replace. I do it and will continue. It is more than 5 quarts though. I do it on my diesel as well and the difference is 3 quarts.
