    Jeep Cherokee throttle

My brother bought a 92 Cherokee Jamboree 2.5l manual with like 200k miles on it.
Only problem is when you flick the throttle fast, it hesitates for a second before r3vving. I cleaned the throttle body cuz it was full of gunk. Now the revs are better but hesitation is still there. I read on here that some people here had the same problem with bmws.
    Any ideas what to check?

Seafoam it. I've got a 92 XJ as well, carbon deposits seem to affect the Jeep motors worse than most.

THats the first thing I'd try. Then, maybe start chasing down vacuum leaks (the 90* elbows coming off the intake manifold to give the front axle vacuum to lock up are notorious for getting brittle).

Good luck, I love those cars - the perfect size SUV for me and my uses. Also, check out www.naxja.org, they'll get your truck running in no time.

It's a surprisingly nice car, and I agree the size is good for daily use. We had a 96 Yukon, which was also great, but you could really feel the weight and size. The Jeep has a lighter feel to it.
      I'll check the vacuums.
