    hawk or mintex brake pads?

i'm looking to upgrade my pads since i'm really getting into this autox stuff. bavauto sells mintex xtreme pads for a limited time. like $60 + shipping. or hawk hp+ pads on ebay for $84 shipped

mintex suck as they tend to squeak a lot. I like pagids.

HP+ squeal like a stuck pig, but they sure do stop my car when I need em to.

PM me for detailing services in the Longmont / Boulder Area in Colorado!

I like the hawks and I want to say I paid around $55 shipped a year ago but I cannot remember where I got them.

Hm, those Mintex Xtremes look interesting. I've never heard of them up until now. I guess they're discontinuing distribution in the US, according to Bavauto.

If your pads are toast, the Xtremes look to be a good autocross pad, but the Hawk HP+ and the Porterfield R4-S are proven performers at reasonable prices.

That anti squeal stuff doesn't work... It keeps em quiet for a lil bit, but the noise always comes back

i use PBR /Axxis Metal Masters. with great results.
no dust- wheels actually stay clean until i park it in the rain.
                      quiet.
and they stop the car w/out needing to warm up the pads, although warming em up does help.

great for road/street racing and d.d.ing

                          PBR / axxis METAL MASTERs

been using em for a while and love em.
never failed me yet, and yes, i've used em.
ask anyone who rides w/me, i drive my e30 pretty hard, and these have lasted a long time (at least 15k) while never warping my rotors,
always a clean wheel, they are dust-less or ultra low dust
                          quiet
                          last a long time
                          work better than oem

                          and are not expensive.
