Normally when the ABS light comes on while the car is moving and not at startup means one of the wheel sensors is at fault.

And if it comes on at startup?

I was under the impression that when the ABS light came on the system had shut itself off due to a fault (wheel sensor or whatever) If you hit the brakes hard to lock it up, you should be able to do just that, lock it up without the ABS interfering. Strange. Maybe what you are feeling in the pedal is not ABS.

Unplug the sensors one at a time and drive the car up to 10mph if the light comes on go to the next sensor. When you reach 10mph and the light doesn't come on bingo you found the bad sensor. This doesn't necessarily mean the sensor is bad, it could be the ring on the hub is mangled up, or the sensor is just dirty.

Wouldn't an unplugged sensor also cause a fault?

So, check this out - this is what my car is doing -

No ABS light - car pulls hars left. Lets of pedal feedback. Sometimes the left wheel will lock up.

ABS light on - Car brakes straight, but no ABS.

                    What do you guys think?
