    Where to shop?

Guys, i'm desperately seeking a 1989 325i vert. When you first bought your e30, where did you look? autotrader? cars.com? Any ideas will be golden. Thanks.

Those places, Craigslist, Kijiji, ebay, other forums (ha), everywhere.

I'd shop the forums, your likely to get a car that's had some maintanence done and in better shape.

Find one of the strips with 'tote the note' car lots down there and cruise it up! Also, check out searchtempest and search Craigslist nationwide. Oh, mautofied has stuff sometimes too.

I think forums would be the best place to find one, but cl ,ebay, autotrader are good places as well.

check bmw cca classifieds as well. I found my one owner '89 vert on craigslist. Put out a WTB on the forums for it. e30tech.com as well as this site. Also try mye28.com. Ask a local to check out a car for you and have it shipped. This way you can grab one from out of town. Try craigzoom to search all of craigslist. I found this one in 20 seconds. http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/1729932267.html

Looking for one car will usually leave you frustrated I've found. The best cars always pop up randomly, keep your eyes peeled for anything interesting. One time I stumbled across a totally legit restored saab making like 300+ hp for something like 8k on craigslist.

Why 89 when it's the exact same as 87, 88, 90? Only difference I can think of is some years had ellipsoid's some didn't but that's $100 to rectify. When did plastic bumpers/late tails hit verts again late 90 or late 91?

plastics hit verts '91. My car is a '91 and has db's though. I think it was the only year that has an airbag and db's.

Ill sell you my car for $5k.
