e30 4 door -drivers door not unlocking

I have a strange issue. The drivers door will lock all doors but won't unlock or unlock the rest. The trunk will lock and unlock all the doors. I thought maybe the central lock module was toast so I changed it. Still the same symptoms. I also changed the actuator at some point thinking it might also be that.

does anyone know what the problem could be?

i have an 85 325e and when i lock the drivers door it locks all the door and trunk as well but when i unlock the drivers doos it doesnt unlock any other doors maybe it is supposed to be like that?

I found the problem and replaced the door latch mechanism along with repairing and rebuilding the lock cylinder. Cars with central locking work all the locks in sync. They should open and close all locks from any key lock. You might have the same problem as me but I would go the easier and cheaper route first. Replace the central lock module behind the drivers foot speaker cover. Get a spare to test it. If this doesn't change then you most likely will need to do what I did.
