Its only a good deal if you can afford the $10k for the engine rebuild, and find someone qualified to work on it. These cars are crazy expensive to maintane PROPERLY that is.

Sweet car, it's missing a roundel, if you can't even replace that other things may need help.

Nice car, but beware. That engine is basically the S14 + 2 cylinders, so you can count on it being high maintenance.

Lot's of fun though. Didn't that engine come with 290 hp stock?

The M88 came with 286hp. The S38B35 (US spec M88 ) only came with 260. But with the Dinan chip you gain most of that back, possibly all of it.

I know a guy who's been trying to get rid of his high mileage (150k+) E28 M5 for years. I might buy it off of him one of these days, I love those cars.
