I'm not sure if it's in my head but I feel like my car doesnt pull as hard as it used to before I adjusted my valves and after a couple of track days. I'm a little ocd on that sewing machine ticking noise which I know is normal on an m20 motor but I also know that some m20s just sound quieter than others.
Anyways, I adjusted the valves beginning of the year and I adjusted them again in march. At idle it sounds fine. However when I'm in low rpm coasting in 1st or 2nd you can hear ticking and I'm guessing that it could be the injectors or a few other things I've read.
I plan on checking the valves again but my question is whether or not having the valves too tight or too lose plays any factor in losing/gaining some torque. I know that I adjusted the valves on the "tighter" side as opposed to the "slight drag" that is recommended. Thoughts?
