I bought an 87 325is last year with a broken trans from a friend. I finally decided to finish up the trans install and drove the car for the first time yesterday.....i've got some more work to do. I made the mistake of taking the driveshaft apart, and i didnt mark it, so ive got HORRIBLE vibration at 50mph or so. My friend said it never did that before the trans went. I also realize how bad the shifter is, it all needs rebuilt...oh goody. Something is banging under the car when i let out the clutch, I think i forgot to torque something....ugh, learning a new car is a PITA.

sounds like you have some driveshaft issues (noise when you engage the clutch might be that) and the shifter rebuild is very simple, anyone can handle it with enough patience.'88 M3.2 S54 Lachssilber/Black

Im pretty sure the driveshaft is the main problem, although im a little concerned about some of the noise i am hearing out of the new/used eurodepot transmission. I swear it sounds like a jetplane getting ready to fly.Originally posted by M3 Ryan
