Input on Febi-Bilstein shift knob wanted...

    Hey guys

Anyone tried the Febi-Bilstein shift knob that Bimmerworld sells?

Hows it look, hows it feel? Any pictures? I'm interested in it for my iX because its cheap and supposedly the heaviest factory knob BMW has made @ 6 oz. Anyone know how this compares to the weight of the e46 ZHP knob? I've got the ZHP in my M3 and love it, but cant justify $65 on the iX.

    THanks

I haven't seen this knob in person but the ZHP knob is very nice. I have one in my car.

I have a ZHP its well worth the cash.
Its firm, nice leather, and it has a nice feel and looks classy with a fresh leather boot.

                      Pics stolen from MR 325:

it looks like plastic to me.
I think it looks pretty good. The e30 interior is all plastic anyways. I love my ZHP knob in my M3, but I just can't justify spending the ~$40 extra when there are acceptable (at least to me) alternatives. Since the OEM + look is what I'm going for in my iX anyways (i.e. keeping the 15" weaves, swapping the comfort seats for stock tan sport seats, etc.) I think it'll work. No doubt I'd rather go for the ZHP, just not for the time being. Plus, I'm not sure that the metal ring on the ZHP would go so well with the plaid shifter/e-brake boot I just bought from Matt on here (OK, so the plaid is a bit more than OEM +, but I wanted one little "stand out" feature).

More pics would be awesome BTW, if anyone has them.

I had one in my old car. Good for the price, but still prefer a leather knob for a car you drive everyday.
