    The SuperCar sightings thread.

You know them, you love them, you'll never afford them. :D Everyone loves a good supercar sighting now and then, so when you see 'em, share the love! Get pics if you can, but a good telling of the tale is fine.

This morning, I saw one of these pulling into a local high school parking lot, being driven by the milf of the century! Maserati Granturismo:

And a few weeks ago, while driving through downtown, I was fortunate enough to drive for a few blocks alongside an F430 Scuderia. I came.

2nd grade - Los Angeles - riding down the freeway saw a McLaren (circa 1982). Shit was hot.

Last summer I saw some supermilf in her MBZ SL black series. In the words of Borat "very nice."

                    I get more excited when I see a E30 M3, or a E34/E28 M5 than when I see a Ferrari.

I see Ferrari's and Lambo's alot here in Orange County. Mostly 360's and 430's and Gallardo's though.

The occassional Murcielago is exciting. A guy that used to work in my building just bought a white 599GTB then killed it by putting some really cheesy wheels on it. And on the freeway last week my friend in his is250 tried to provoke this guy in a Carrera GT. That was fun.

I'll start taking pictures when I see these things.

I know what you mean. I'm in Newport Beach, and I see an Audi R8 probably once a week. Lot's of hot shots leasing ferraris and lambos riding down PCH.

The two "holy shit" worthy experiences i can recall were with three different cars. On a late October evening in 1995 heading north out of Illinois, I noticed a pair of strange looking headlights in my rearview, As it neared realized it was an F40! We had just come around a bend in the road and the road ahead sraightened out as far as you could see. Well the next thing I hear is what i can only describe as the sound of the earth being ripped in half. After that all I saw were two tail lights and an occasional breath of fire out the tail pipe. That whole experience probably took about 10 seconds.

Then second one of these came in an exotic car dealer in Hayward California called Fantasy Junction. My dad and I were picking something up nearby and he said we should go check this place out, he'd been there a few times before. Inside were numerous vintage racecars and exotics. There in the middle of the room, with cars stuffed all around them, were the next two. One of them was something I had never seen before and couldn't believe what I was seeing. I later found out that it was a former Pebble Beach and Amelia Island, best of show winner owned by Ralph Lauren. It was this 1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic Coupe. The other was the only other F40 I've seen in the real world. Those things just look like thy want to kill you.......Fuck I want one!
