R3V, keep your eyes open for a house in Renton! MUST have a 2 car garage, preferably detached. MUST have decent parking for 4 cars, but only 2 "daily" spots. We don't smoke, we have no pets (but I want a kitty!) and we have an excellent rental history...but we wanna save for buying a house, so we want a cheap house. I figure $1200/mo, max.
So...after only a few months on the job, Kim (my beloved GF, AKA "Wife") got a promotion...or actually, a new job, but within the company. YAY for a stable, growing company!
For those that haven't noticed, the economy is kinda rough these days, so getting a better job these days is kick ass to say the least. Unfortunately, the cost of living in Redmond (where she works as of 6/21) is insane for the PNW.
Just about no one on here knows I actually took a job too, just a couple of weeks ago. I work at Foss Car Audio, in Tacoma. I have no clue about how long I will be there, but so far I am really happy with the clowns I work with.
They all hate the "Car Toys" mentality (spoiled little bitch syndrome: selfish, greedy, arrogant) too. We all do OK together. I feel more accepted than I have in quite some time. Either way, I actually wanna keep this job, I like it.
For those that don't know me personally, I don't really work well with others.
So, since it is 45 miles from my work to hers, through the worst traffic in the entire PNW, we are gonna see if we can find a place in Renton. 30 miles for me is fine, especially since I would not be fighting the traffic, and she would have 15 miles of traffic hell, especially since she has to be at work at 8:00 AM, and I start at 10:00...NBD as far as I am concerned, plus most of my commute would be on 167 I think.
So, a big HOORAY to Kim for her new job, a big new HOORAY for leaving sleepy little Lacey (although we might be back, this place is pretty cool) but we have got to pack, move, set up the garage, all that nonsense during the month of the Picnic while I am already busy, right? Gonna be a struggle!
