    Denso compressor

I have an A/C compressor that has been detached from the car and sitting in my garage for a while. One of the lines is open to the environment, so my question is, do A/C compressors go bad if they aren't plugged when not in use? It hasn't been used in probably a couple of years.

    TIA

yes, when they are left open to the atmosphere, the seals usually go bad. The best way is to get a rebuild kit and go thru it and then it will be set for 134A, or you could just get some ac flush from the store and pour it in and then blow it out and give it a try... Done that on two so far and then changed the dryer and recharged.. they still work.. so far..
        good luck
