Long Distance Interior - What's the cheapest way to get it?

I need to get a full interior (2 front seats, rear bench, 4 door cards, and carpet) from Abingdon, VA to Chicago, IL - 600 miles.

What would be the cheapest way to do this if I do not own a car large enough to fit it?

Ship it? Rental car? Some sort of freight option? Something super magical and crazy I've never heard of that's free?

Buy the $50 roof rack and load it up.

Have everything shipped by Greyhound. Properly boxed. 4 boxes should do.

freight works too. I got my sport seats shipped from Seattle, WA to Maryland via Conway. Shipped on a single pallet with a box to cover it. could have held more than just the seats too.

how exactly do you go about shipping through greyhound. I looked into it to ship some wheels but wasn't sure how. Do you just take it to a greyhound station or what?

Called Greyhound and the lady said I could shrink wrap the front seats, since they're not easily boxed. Everything else could be boxed up. The problem is you get fined for items over 34 or 35" - i forget which. I haven't measured the seats but I imagine they're a few inches over 35.

I'm going to have to take dimensions of my seats and the boxes needed for everything else to get the actual quote from greyhound. then i need to weigh that against having to rent a car and drive it down there.

Or fly/bus/train down there and rent a car one way.

...fuckin hassle but I needs some Cardinal.

The front seats can be split. Back and base. They become easier to pack.

But easily split? I have to rely on the shipper to do all this and I don't want to ask him to do anything too complicated where he could either hurt the seats or say 'fuck it' i'll sell them to someone else.

Very good. The usual cracking but no rips or tears. I'm going to try to take good pictures of it tonight if I can find my camera

I've heard bad things about using greyhound. I dont know what the palet option would run, but I would imagine it would be cheaper then UPS ground for a bunch of huge boxes.

Is the small car the e30? If so, I say take out the back seat and the passenger seat. Install the new interior on location... will take you 10 minutes tops for the rears and the passenger, and then you can toss the door cards in the trunk and the drivers seat in the back seat.

Thats a 16 hour trip total, so I dont know if its the most cost effective... or worth your time... but I bet its one of the best options.
