    R3V's opinion wanted!

So I've had a hankering for an older euro car for as long as I can remember. From dad's 1993 750iL that ate more than it's fair share of change, to my older brother's 1986 VW GTI, my first drive memories are in a BMW and the first time I turned a wrench was on a VW. I want to be a part of the family! Not to mention I'm more than a little bit sick and tired of getting 15MPG freeway in my '94 trooper...

Anyway! I'm sure ya'll get more of these threads than you can count, but I want the forum's take on a craigslist posting.

I've got a spare set of steelies I can use to get the car if need be. I'm a bit far away, in Bellingham, so I asked for additional higher resolution pictures. On the way are more pictures of the interior including the dash and busted up seat, the boot including the battery well and spare well, and of what seems to be paint damage on the hood, roof, and trunk lid and the dents mentioned in the listing.

I've had a bit of communication with the phone number listed, and it seems that all the parts listed are new(post overheat).

What I'd love is input from you guys on what I should be asking, what I should look for if/when I see this car, and what ya'll think of the head problems and strange noise.

    Thanks!

    Steve

    I spy 'is' side skirts?
    Snapped belt = new head?

For $600, you aren't losing much since you turn wrenches.
Interior seems to be fine fitting.

I'd go for it if you have the time to work on it.

    gl & welcome

Not a bad deal. Get it if you have time to fix it. Best of luck!

            800 seems pretty fair.

If you bring your own wheels, hell ya! $600 for an e30 is good, and you can pick up an m20+trans for under $1K in good shape.

If you have the time and some extra cash to throw around then go for it. As long as there is no major rust then it should be a fun project.

I'd go for it, as long as you have another mode of transportation to use while you work on it.

My personal opinion of black people is no different from white or any other coloured person. There are good and bad in all races. People usually criticize a persons actions and morals when something bad has happened concerning that person and automatically presume they are all bad.

considering how much competition you have up here for getting a cheap E30, next one you see, grab.
