    Custom made A/C lines?

So I was thinking, instead of installing used lines while finishing up a/c in my car I would like to get them all re-done new. Basically have anybody brought existing e30 lines to a/c shop and asked them to basically make new ones?

How much would something like this cost, I know it would probably depend on the type of ends and length etc. But ball park?

I had hoses made from anywhere around $60 - 150 a hose. It all depends on what they have to do. If they are just replacing the hose and recrimping ends, I'd say 50-80 each.

EDIT: I see you asked about making new fittings/ends, and most places don't do that.

Some of the hoses-like the two shorter ones that run from the compressor to the condensor, and the condensor to the receiver/dryer-really aren't that expensive. The most expensive one is the low pressure suction line that runs from the evaporator to the compressor. I was able to find that hose on ebay last week as a new old stock original BMW part for $79 shipped which is about half the normal price for the R12 hose. The R134a hose for that application is almost $200.

You can check around in your area to see what it would cost someone to make you the hoses, but in the end you might find you will save little to no money by just buying new ones. Regardless, I would definitely go with a new or newly made hose over a used one-you never know when that used one might fail or start to leak-if it isn't already.

If you price out ALL new hoses/lines from BMW you'll be over a grand easy. That's why I am looking into an option to get them made locally :)

Did you have to research a bunch of shops? I am willing to even ship a box of stock e30 a/c lines anywhere if they can do it for a good price,,,,but not at $100 per fricking line.

I have two from the evaportator to firewall, then from the firewall to the a/c...so a total of 4 or maybe 5-6 lines. I just don't want to deal with old crusty lines etc.
