    Not a bad parking lot

Caught these at the Hearst Castle in CA a few months ago.....cant say if the front P-car is actually a RUF, but its definitely sporting the wheels. BTW, its the new Maserati in the middle.

No one would DARE put a bra on a RUF car. It's probably just the wheels. Those are SICK wheels, too.

Why not? Those slant noses take on a lot more debris than our flat nosed setup. As much as I don't like those bras, I can see why someone would use them on a road trip or on a trip to carve some turns in the twisties.

Because a bra, as tight as everyone SAYS they fit, is worse on your paint over time than debris. The flap around in the wind, and if any kind of dirt or anything gets under them, they will literally sandblast your paint under the bra. I've seen it happen to cars that had them on for less than 6 months. And considering all the custom bodywork that goes into a RUF car, I don't think anyone that paid the kind of money it takes for a RUF conversion would cover it up with a big piece of black leather.

A well taken care of bra might be useful to someone. If they don't know how to use a bra and think its meant to be on 24/7 & 365 that's their mistake. Yes some moisture and some dirt might accumulate underneath but its not meant to be permanent.

Hypothetically speaking, lets say he had to go on a highway commute several miles long or was going to pass through some gravel infested road, his big piece of leather is a worthy investment to him if he takes it off when he gets home.

I would never use one though, I don't see myself owning a car that I will treasure its paint job to that extent...

bras prolong paint life when used properly.

                    Mis-information.
A properly cared for bra will prolong paint life. If you leave it on 24/7 and think "Duhhhh its gotta be helpun mah paint" then that person deserves to have their paint destroyed.

My father ran one on his immaculately restored e28 euro 3.5l with a full euro bumper/airdam kit. It saved the paint on his 120+ mile daily commute.

Awesome Porsches! If I had a porsche I would put a bra on it too...when I was going to be ripping it up on the highways on longish trips. That's what the bra is for..it won't screw up a properly cared for car if you use the bra the right way. (take it off when itn rains, etc )

Chris is right. My uncle assured me that a bra will not hurt your car. He drove from Pa to Fla in his 88 E30 m3 for 10+ years with the bra on the hood. No marks what so ever from the bra and most importantly no stone chips.
He has 66k miles on his car and I'd say almost 45,000 of them are from the Pa/Fla trips
He never drives that car other than that.

Anyways I have a custom full front end bra coming (I already paid for it a month ago) direct from colgan becuase I got a special order one for no front l/p. (ordered it from Bavauto) When I come to a E30 meet and I have to commute to Nj, Philly, etc I will have the bra on. When I get to the destination I will take off the bra along with doing my normal misting off detailing method

That New Massarati is also a very nice ride 8)

                        Real nice rides!

The first Porsche is gorgeous! 8) It is hella nice.

The porsche on the end is cool too, a well-taken care of convertible porsche.

But the Maserati is KILLER. As a future engineer, that engine is super crazy. It uses really high compression ratio and putting out some awesome HP numbers for not that much displacement. Like 400hp our of ? a small V8 i think i remember. Similar idea to the M5 engine, only smaller engine, higher CR. They are unique and cool lil Italian cars. I'd rather take a Porsche, BMW, or Ferrari personally. But they are great for another performance car option. See it in the 1st Episode of Fastlane, it was tight.

EDIT: Google search - "4.2-liter, V8, 390-horsepower engine that achieves 11-mpg in the city and 17-mpg on the highway" - Gas mileage not the best factor of that car.

If you can afford a RUF, you damned well can afford an invisible bra. I put
em' on every car I've owned. The great thing is, it's not that obvious unless
whoever applied it, did a bad job putting it on. It's a good thing to make sure
your beams don't chip or pit too.
