My soft top is THAT bad? Ugh

The warm weather finally hit Canada and I took my hardtop off today. After a day of enjoying the sunshine I parked for the night and put my soft top up. I forgot how bad it was.

I don't trust myself to install a new one and am not interested in paying in the neighbourhood of 2K for a brand new one as there are other areas for money to go towards. Anyone have a strategy for finding a decent one? Put a standing order in at a wreckers? Let a top shop know if they replace a decent one with a new one? Has anyone been in this spot before?

i removed my softtop last winter (just for a weight reduction) and while its easy to remove, its a major pita to re-install it to mate up correctly.

luckily i left all my shims in place, and tightened the nuts over them all winter, but where to find a good *used* top? might be easier to pony up for a new one.

if you do it, or spend the $ for someone else to install it, and only find your "used" top lasts one summer and cracks in winter, would be sadness...

i suggest to pony up for a new zippered rear window top in whatever color ya want (theres a place here that can get any material (from bmw/ germany or mexico with gucci print)...just get the zipper window and be happy for another 20 years...
