What happens if you dont pay parking tickets?

I have $65 worth of unpaid parking tickets at Georgia Southern. They boot your car there and wont take the boot off until your tickets are paid. They tried to boot my jeep but the arms wouldn't extend enough to secure my tires :twisted:

Some campuses will tow your car though if you have a certain number of outstanding tickets, it all depends on the school

I have an "unpaid collection" on my credit report. apparently i got a ticket at school 5 years ago and never knew about it - they sent it to a collection agency and they didn't bother to look up my address at the time, so on the credit report it went. the amount will double when it goes to collection, and they have your plate number, so they have your name and address.

Did you park at a place where you knew you would get a fine if you parked there and got a fine for it?

If so, what is the problem? Why don't you just pay for it. . . Don't get a collection ageny up your ass and ruin your credit just for a stupid parking ticket.
UPS sent me a collection agency because they fucked up and thought that I did not pay their brokerage fee. Very annoying process. Collection agency has no remorse.

Tickets will vary from place to place, just pay for it and have no worries.

When there is a sign that says "Fine for parking here", it doesn't mean that it is fine (okay) for parking there, but rather, you will get a fine (punishment) if you park there.

Chapel Hill is full of Fags as is. They see your state parking pass and give you tickets. State won tonight Hell yeah! I don't really think it matters man I have some tickets from Campbell and I go to UNCW. But then again Campbell is a private college. I'd stop parking in Non-Parking zones @ Chapel Hill man.

At my sister's school (Clemson) parking tickets are about $60 unless you get alot, then they bump it up to $110 per ticket and if you have 2 unpaid tickets you get towed, but if you get one and don't pay it just rolls over on to your tuition... if you get enough, you can't park on campus at all

i thought tickets from UNC didn't cost anything unless they were in a fire lane ($100) or in a handicap zone (250).

go to unc's website and look at public safety, but im pretty sure they will use a collection agency if you have a huge debt to them.
