Hood Issues

Took the hood off for timing belt work and have it back on but it sits approx 1/8" - 1/4" below fender line. Almost have to use both hands on release lever to release the hood and when it releases it pratically shoots the hood forward. I spent a long time playing with all the 10mm and nothing seemed to get it right. Is there another adjustment point that I am missing?
