correctly putting the soft top down

I just had my manual soft top replaced and i was wondering if anyone had a diagram of how to correctly put it up and down so nothing tears. i have an 88 325 ic

undo latches, step out of car, reach into backseat with left hand and release latch in back seat, lift front half of top up then lift rear of top up, slide right hand under top cover above latch inbetween cover and car body (on the inside), undo saftey catch, lift top cover flap up, let rear of top fall into carbody, slowly fold back top tucking in the fabric as you lower it (only needed if your straps are worn), place top into compartment and close lid.

under advisement from wiser folks I use a towel to keep plastic window looking nice, it get folded up with the top
