    Driver door window replacement

Hello all! I was hoping somebody knows how to replace the drivers door window. (I have a sedan but I would presume the steps in replacing a coupe would be nearly identicle). If somebody has the time I would appreciate a how to.

    Here is the situation....

The bracket that comes attached to the window (the back one) is broken on my existing window. I recently purchased a used window on ebay ($40) and would like to do a swap. I don't think it is possible to simply replace the bracket.. or is it?

It's pretty easy to swap the front door glass, remove the door pulls/panel and you'll see what you need to do.

I have already removed the door panels. I don't know exactly what other parts of the door to remove in order to enable me to slide out the existing window and slide in the new one. I can expect that I will have to remove the weather stripping at the bottom of the window but do I have to remove anything else?

If you have removed the door panels you don't need to remove anything else. Just unbolt the window glass from the window regulator and lift it up. You will need to tilt the glass down at an angle so that the upper back part of the glass can come out of the door first. It's not easy to explain, but once you get the glass unbolted you will see how easy it is to remove it from the door.

what about the brackets, can they clear the slit? It doesn't appear as if they can. Will I have to remove the weather stripping?

I appreciate the responses, thank you for your help.

Yes they will clear the slit. No need to remove the weather stripping.
