just got my second e30 within 1 month.. the first one was going crazy like it was calculating for a flux capacitor. the second one worked fine, then started by going from 12 hr clock to a 24 hr clock. then the temp keeps flicking back and forth from farenheit, and celsius, now it starting to do the flux capacitor thing too. is this normal in time? what fiX? what replacement to consider? thanks....

I bought a 6 button replacement OBC from the junkyard to replace mine, put a new bulb in it and it was PERFECT and BRIGHT for about a day, then started flipping out. If I punch it, it works well again for a little while then starts up again. Common problem apparently, not sure if there's an easy internal fix or if you just have to go through a few til you find a good one. -
hahaha, i do the same thing.. and it works again. i think i might have to get one of those analog clocks, looks dope imo. i was just trying to save up for a paint job. lmao. Thanks for the reply!Comment

Hilarious. Just got my first E30 the other day and it's doing the same thing. I just hit one of the other buttons and it's fine for a little while.Comment

There is a fix fellas. Ill try to explain it the best I can. The problem is the contacts between the lcd screen and the board. Take it apart and get to this area. Clean contacts. What you need to do is wedge a piece of paper (or paper towel thickness) in front of the screen...hidden from display so that their is harder/better contact between the lcd and board. This should fix it.
lol...reading what I wrote prolly makes no sence but it will once you take it apart. GL.Comment
