    V1 + iPhone

Got am email about this earlier today. It uses your iphones GPS and internet connection with your V1s radar and laser to create a radar network. The app is free but the aparter is $90. To me this only seems useful if a lot of people use it in your area although a really cool adea. Anyone else hear about this? anyone intend on using it?

I have trapster loaded into my garmin gps, it really only gets in the way of reading directions. I need to figure out if I can adjust the warning time since if im driving in a way that I want warnings they are usually not early enough. Trapster is hit or miss but it was free and has saved me a couple times so worth it to me.

Guys, just buy a fucking Escort 9500i/ix.

It has GPS capability already, and comes preloaded with all kinds of redlight cameras, etc.
Plus you can lock out "false" signals like doors, etc. Try that with your V1. Oh wait, you have to link it with something else? pssh.

So what, the Escort doesn't have arrows. I know the popo is around, I don't really need to know EXACTLY where they are, I'm not Alex Roy, trying to make a transcontinental record.
It's a fun game. Because I know how to use it, and trust it, I KNOW they are around somewhere, it's fun to see how much advance notice I got. (a mile? over the next hill? sometimes just up the block...) After a while, you can tell approximately where they are from how the signal ramps up/acts...

Best $1000 I've EVER spent. (I have two, one for me, my wife liked it so much, she DEMANDED one.) I can't even count how many times this thing has saved me.

edit: I guess this is "app" is kinda different, but doesn't sound very reliable.

Bel is miles ahead of Valentine at the moment. I've got a NZ/AU specific Bel XR (STI in the states I believe) and it gives the V1 a smacked bottom over the same roads.

I had a Bel STI before my V1, not anywhere near as good as the Valentine.
