    e46 M3

ok so ive been in the Air Force for 2 years now almost and have nothing to show for. Im seriously thinking of getting a e46 m3.. 2005 brand new. I plan of putting like 15K down and financing the rest. Yes I CAN do it. so now what I want from all of you guys is input.... should I buy one after I come back from the desert or should I keep waiting for a mint e30 M3?

PS: with Military sales and all I can get one with all the options I want for exactly $44,600.

that would tempt me.....If I had the available money I'd probably do it. Look at your long term needs though cause droppign that much on a car that will lose value when you could invest it into like a House or soemthing more beneficial to you that won't depreciate in value.

^ If you have nothing to show for it, buying a car would be exactly what you wouldn't want to do, especially not a new car. Save up, put a down payment on a house and pay a mortgage instead of financing a car.

Ditto. What exactly are you doing in the AF? Unless you're an officer, the wages generally tend to prohibit the purchase of a $40k+ car.

i have about 5K now and i can save up about another 3K befor I go to the desert and there thats easily another 8-9K. were thers a will thers a way. A house I already have back in the states so im not in need of one. I want to gat it, and everytime I deploy, all that money, well most of that money would go to the car. that way in 4 years ill have it payed off.

Listen to ppl with real life experiences, lol that 8 - 9k .... isn't worth a car that'll cost you more than $1k a month with insurance gas and maintenance ahead of you.

Man, save up some money. Dont go making big durable goods purchases right now because you still dont know what you will be doing in a couple years. Plus a car is a money pit, and like they said, youd still have nothing to show for it down the road.
                          Im now E30less.

E46 330Ci with the PP retails at 43k, what's your military discount get on that?

Might be something to look at.

...and you'll have car that's 4 yrs old. You'll waste all that cash on a car that will be worth way less than you shelled out, think of all the wasted Ins premiums (the bank will make you get ins).
