    Getting a air/fuel mixture code.

So, how often do oxygen sensors go bad? Pretty sure mines never been changed...I could understand why cuz they are so damn expensive. My question tho...is why isnt there one for a 1988 325. Only i's and e's earlier than 87. Which oxygen sensor do i get? Do the universal ones work good? Also...my car is a 327i. with a 272 cam, should i just go with a 325i oxygen sensor? I wanna get rid of this code...and i feel like my car could run better...well, idle better. And the gas mileage isn't the best. getting only like 19-20mpg.

oven cleaner soak, then a brake cleaner flush, let it dry, reinstall. do it once a year and never replace it again.
