i am going on my 3rd coil in 5 years.
i thought that the orginal coil was bad 2 years ago and bought a new one, ended up beimg a wiring issue, but i left the new part on (couldn't hurt, it's new).
that coil took a shit in Jan. and i put the old one on, problem fixed!
now the last 4 days it has been doing the same thing, it gets super hot right away (can't touch it hot) like a dying coil does along with the cutting out at 4500-5000 RPM or between 1/4-1/2 throttle ubder hard acceleration (the check engine light comes on too indicating a incorrect mixture).
noone local has a stock replacement Bosch Coil instock and at shop cost i am looking at $50. AutoZone has MSD Blaster 2's for $36 or MSD Blaster 3's for $46 (these come with and extra add on thingy where the coil wire goes and i have to change out the end?)
how do these work out?
as good as stock for less $??? hell yea?
better than stock? even more hell yea?
worse than stock??? :(
