    Fan clutch help, stupid question

In the middle of doing the timing belt on my 85 ETA, When i go to take the fan off, I turn the wrench counter-clockwise and the belt just slips on the pulley, so I cant break the nut free, is there any method of keeping the pulley from spinning? because I can't move on with my timing belt till I get this off -_-

Another question, anyone know a secret into getting the automatic transmission fluid line off the radiator? the line keeps spinning with the fitting, making it impossible to remove.

    Thanks

The fan clutch is reverse threaded, so turning counter-clockwise won't help you. They make a fan clutch tool to hold the pulley in place, usually sold in conjunction with a 32mm flat wrench.

Now, you can, at your own risk, just hit the 32mm you already have in there with a hammer in the correct direction, and that is usually enough to break it loose. After that you can remove it by hand. That has worked well for me, just be sure not to hit your car with it.
