    Texas S50B32 Summer Project

The work has started! Sonny's S50B32 is at the port in Houston and should be in Austin early next week. Here is what is waiting my 325i this summer:
    1. S50B32 install with 6speed
    2. Massive Sport Brake Kit
    3. UUC stainless lines
    4. New interior from Creative Options (Kevin)-installed on sport seats
    5. Rear subframe refreshed with Toe/Camber adjustments
Ive also just wired in the M3 cluster and got the Mtech door sills installed. I also got around to finishing the stereo with Luke's 10" box install with a nice Rockford sub/amp combo and Focal speakers up front. Sounds great!

Here is a pic of her in the garage:

    Recent rims:

Here are some pics of the work so far:

    Engine coming out:

    Ready for the S50B32:

Ill update with more pics as work progresses. I should have the new interior in early next week and then I can start work on the seats while the motor is installed. Should be a fun August when she is done!:D

          Stormpike,

here is a list of things you need. The swap is pretty much same any s50 swap into e30. There is few different things in the euro s50's.
          1. 6 speed trans shifter linkage needs to be shorten and you can use e30 325 trans bracket. I would also add an extra support for the trans.. but you might first just try the one with the 6 speed it might be ok...
          2. Geo Metro booster, hydro booster or You can try the 2002 booster as well, since the 2002 and geo metro are pretty much the same size..
          3. definitely gotta go with a HP clutch set up.. I used UUC LW flywheel and M5 clutch.. It was ok to be honest.. I am going to use a JBRacing flywheel with clutchmasters satge 1 this time..
          4. The headers will be a pain to get clearance but if your guy is good then he can manage it.
          5. Dont need all that evap system, tell the shop just eliminate all that..
          6. you can use a spal slim fan with the relay kit from BW, that will give you enough clreance between the RAD and engine pulleys. Not much but a tad bit...

Whatever else you need just have the guys at your shop call me and I will be more than happy to work with them.. I hope everything turns out great.. Oh the dme I have 2 guys for the ews delete and tune...

              awesome.
              e30 + euro s50 = severe hard on
I'd love to tackle such a project.
Do the s50 headers clear the firewall?

The stock 6-speed shifter linkage worked just fine for me. One thing I might add is the heater hoses are a BITCH to install. I ended up cutting the hard lines coming out of the firewal back and used a set of 90* elbows to get it to fit behind the airbox nicely. I also clamped the hoses from inside the car to make sure they got a good bite on the hard lines.

Good news: the customs agent cleared the motor for shipment out!! It's been almost 3 weeks at port on hold. Lots of EPA forms, etc but luckily no issues. Now onto the install

The side skirts are BMW Euro Aero kit that I imported in via dealer a few years ago.
Rims are the 4 lug throwing star that I got from the forum a few years ago. I saw a thread last week or so on them.

I hope to have pics next week.

I am in south Africa now doing mission work for another few weeks.

I got news that the brake kit and subframe with toe/ camber done and just waiting on motor to arrive.

I am praying that it has arrived with no major issues..

                            More to come....
