No way that the A/c belt fits

I cannot wrap my head around how I am supposed to get the A/c belt on this damn thing. It is at least an inch to short but it's the right belt for my car.

13x825 Maybe it's a little too thick? If I could get one in say 12.5x830 that would be perfect.

My compressor is as far as it can possibly go up and the belt isn't even a 1/4 of an inch of the pully.

Advanced auto doesn't carry a longer belt in the same width either. All I have to do is get this fucking belt on my a/c and it will be working perfectly. And considering it's 95 out with 95% humidity I desperately need to get this back in working order. Any help?

Do you know what size it was or where you got it from?

And it works fine? Is it similar to a regular vehicle v belt?

Dude, come on. I was fucking with you but you took all the fun out of it. Try putting it on like you would if the chain came off your bicycle, get one little section at the side on then turn the pulley so that it pulls the belt on. It'll go if 1/4 inch is all you need to make it fit. Good luck.

well fuck I thought you were on to something... And I wish the belt only needed a 1/4 of an inch to slip on. I'm saying the belt barely goes on the comp pully a 1/4 of an inch. The rest is just ridiculously to short to fit around it.

Try a real auto parts store instead of advance auto? They can actually cross reference sizes and parts from different vehicles as opposed to "year, make and model?" you get from the chain parts stores.

You'd be surprised. Most of the parts stores I've used have NOT been able to search for a belt by size.
I am using a super short belt on my s50b32, and finding somebody who can get the proper sized belt has been hell.

If you know of any, please post it up.

I had the same problem. I went into auto zone and told them to give me the next size up, STILL too small so I went one more step up and it fit perfectly.

Trust me, no mater what you do you are not getting the factory belt on. Not even by getting one small section on, its not happening, give up and find a bigger belt, any other method is just a waste of time.

Like he said. Yeah it's a bitch to get the belt on, dunno why they designed it that way, but that's how it is. You think it's bad on the e30, try an e24 sometime.

These discount auto parts store belts you guys are using probably don't help. Conti-tech belts have more stretch to work with. I'd get one of those before fucking around with different sizes.

I ordered all of my belts from Pelican when I bought my car and don't recall having any issues with the A/C belt. It would mean you have to wait a little bit...

Try loosening all of the bolts to the compressor to the point it is almost off (minus disconnecting the freon tubes), then sliding the belt over the pulley, holding it in place and then tightening everything else up.

Yeah this belt I have just will not physically fit not at all. And it's the "right" size belt according to their shitty ass data base.

I asked em for a bigger size belt and they look at me like umm, what model is that?
