E34 or E30 ?

but they have the same engine (assuming you mean 325i and 525i) except the later 525i had just a touch more power as it had an updated engine, and one is heavier. guess which. better? depends on your specific and i am assuming very special needs.

But really, this is the MOST BASIC of information. you shouldnt have wasted this recourse

I have both

e30 started out as a daily now it is a caged race car, as it should be
e34 Touring for the comfort and practicality I can put a motor in the trunk if need be.

The e34 525i had an M20 for the first year or two I believe, then it moved to the M50.

The E30 325i obviously has the M20.

So if you're comparing an E30 and an early E34, They have the same engine, but one car is obviously heavier.

If you you're comparing an E30 with a newer E34 with an M50, I don't know. I would drive one to see what you like.

A sorted E34 is a thing of beauty to drive. Smooth and silky. An E30 is a crude toy by comparison. Both are truly great in their own right

neither are good at the purpose of the other.

e34 m50 is a great daily driver. comfortable, luxurious, spacious, and no bullshit m20.

e30 is a great handling car, fun to drive, great when modded, but not comfortable nor luxurious

best of both worlds: e34 dd e30 track/fun car

I have both. One I drive to work everyday - I dont know what I would do without it = e34. The other, well, is gathering dust right now. Depends on what you want to use the car for. If you want practicality, comfort, and smothness - go e34.
