I know there are major differences between couple and convertible rear seats. But I was wondering if anyone ever tried to do it. Ive got access to a rear seat from a coupe for pretty cheep and I was wondering what I could do. Im putting coupe front seats in and would like the rears to match patternwise. Anyone ever try cutting one down or using the cover on the vert foam or anything? I have an idea of how i wanna try to do it, i just want to see other peoples attempts
Anyone ever try making coupe rear seats fit in convertible?

The seats are completely different shapes, so swapping covers wouldn't work. The coupe seat is a good few inches wider than the convertible seat.sigpic<< wrecked -
Yeah, i hear ya, this is my 3rd vert and i think my 10th e30 overall, i definately understand the differences. I've reupholstered my m3 interior and one of my vert interiors, so i know the differences. I think I'm just going to have to dive into it. I'll post pics as I go along, if it turns out nice, it may be able to help others in the future. If it turns out crappy, I'll take my R3V flaming like a man and move on :)All Your Base Is Belongs To UsComment

Good cabrio rear seats are hard to find and =$$$$
recovering cabrio rear seat = $$$$
making something work out of a easily and cheaply available coupe rear seat = little money.
I'll have to give MikeK a call and see if he can lend some 'FistPump'.All Your Base Is Belongs To UsComment
