tricky question... (coolant outlet hose on back of engine)

So i have a big coolant leak on my m20b27, coming from the coolant outlet housing on the back of the engine... Is there any semi particle way i can get back to it, with out pulling the motor? i can barely fit my hand back there, much less a ratchet. :(

maybe remove the sound deaening on the firewall
that would certainly create a bit of extra room.

Well you could try disconnecting the driver's side motor mount and jacking the engine up a bit from the rear.

It may be necessary to disconnect the driveshaft to get any forward movement and this of course would require dropping the exhaust. Depending on how far you move the engine you may have to remove your cooling fan so it doesn't hit the rad.

Sounds like alot of hassle eh?

yeah. except for the fact that i don't actually have a radiator or fan in the car right now, yeah, it sounds like a ton of hassle :(
