Just went on my last drive for a year

I went out with my wife and my best friend Drew for one last drive before my license is suspended tomorrow. We drove out and visited the site where I wrecked my car, and then we took the long way back into town to get some food. Countdown starts tomorrow, at 365 days.

But, when i got it back, 23 hours after getting it back, i was stopped again.

You'll get used to not having a license. I dealt with a 180 day suspension in 2002. After a while, you'll see some benefits - you won't be wasting your money on gas all the time, no car maintenance or insurance to worry about. All you need is a few good friends/co-workers who are willing to give you rides when you need it. When you get your license back, it'll be a great feeling like the day you first got it when you were 16. Trying to think of those benefits kept me sane.

That's exactly how I've been looking at it already. Not to mention I'd been looking for an excuse to buy myself a nice bike, because I knew once I got one I would hardly ever ride it. I'll have a good reason now!

Be strong bro you'll get through it. Just a word of advice do not drive under ANY circumstances you will regret it more than you hate not being able to drive at the timeyou went out and did it if yiou get caught. Those consequences will be suvere.

Don't worry guys, I am not planning on driving whatsoever. They have a thing called a "hardship license" which will allow me to drive to work and home, but it's $175. So if I do that, it's going to have to wait.

Wow thats bullshit, in ohio work/school privilages are a given under ANY suspension, DUI's included. And there free.

                        Little late to the thread...

Here's to the next year Josh. i'm sorry hear you have to give up up your license for a year. However, I think all in all, you might find some actual enjoyment out of it. Best of luck to you, and keep it real. At least you'll get to save some $ and enjoy a "relaxed" pace of life.

It could be worse. That was a pretty nasty wreck, I could have died. At least I've got lots of time to save money for my next E30!

Thanks for the kind words, Chris.
