where to buy fuel pump?88 325

guys my fuel pump went bad on me,it still starts and sometimes will go a few block but end up dieng.after waiting for awhile it will run again.anyways looked around here at a local parts store and they want arm and a leg for it.any suggestion where to buy one?also what brand?

Don't buy one from Pep Boys, Kragen, Autozone etc. They are double the price, and half the quality. You can buy a Whalbro fro like $85 bucks.
Check the for sale threads, there's a few guys parting cars on there..im sure you can pick up a used OEM one cheap.

Walbro?I got a spare from my mustang any idea if that will work?

might work cross ref the number with the e30 number on walbro site. I've had great luck with the TRE performance pump Tre-340 i think, easy as pie and cheap, buy two you'll have a spare. just ditch your 7.5 fuse and put in a 10 amp.

thanks i came accross dyi on this site and threw in a walbro 255 and seems like it works.ill definately swap that fuse aswell.

My Walbro was also "for a Mustang", 255lph, will work.

Thanks guys I just installed my walbro from my mustang and it works,it took some slight mod on the fuel pump assembly but nothing major.also it feels like its more resposive I guess the old pump was reallt bad.
