I work at a shipping place and theres a few specifics that are needed for shipping a motor. First it has to be totally drained (oil). Then theres a couple ways to do it. the expensive way is to CRATE it and send it that way. The best way is to STRAP IT TO A PALLET and send it frieght. The cost is determined by the WEIGHT of the piece being shipped and the DESTINATION. Shipping can run anywhere from about $250 up to $1000. I live in Oregon and we shipped a motor to Vegas and it was around $400. Hope this helps. The shipping cost really isn't that bad if you think about.
holy crap! well for a 500 dollar motor the cost of the shipping being 500 is definately wack. The seller of the M50 I just bought has been checking out shipping options, and so far its either 400 for his friend to drive it up to me (I'm considering that one more so than the others) or around 500 to have it freight shipped.
I guess the overly high cost of his friend driving it up to me would be the lowest cost of shipping huh.
That sucks.
Thanks for the reply.

I would, but this motor is coming from Long Island to me, not vice versa. So it looks as though I'm going the 400 dollar route and having the guys friend drive it up to me.
Yo andre, lend me some money :D
