if your going to beat on the m42, make sure you dont over heat it. check your oil paon for loose oil pump bolts, and always let it warm up before you r3v the shit out of it.

Plugs, wires, COP conversion, timing components/belt, all hoses, brakes, rotors, caliper rebuild, soft brake lines, valve adjustment, seafoam, fuel and air filters, extra hoses under manifold delete, trand and differential fluids, all engine fluids.
And mods are r3v typical;

also quick question guys. the needle on my temp gauge goes back and forth it sometimes stays steady but mostly rocks cold to hot . what can be done do fix this problem

first check the ground nut on the rear of the cluster
Then go into suspension before you get wheels or pretty stuff. Then your ride will handle much better and you wont have that awkward 4x4 stance with your new wheels.

yes do not fucking put anything on it until you lower it. i hate when people drive around 4x4 cars, and have some shiny wheels to look more "aggresive" lol. slammed makes any oem bmw wheel look good on a e30.

Plus, slamming a 318 w/o a skidplate is just asking for disaster.
