the cars are the same, the engines are different. the engine mounts, ie the little black things that bolt to the side of the block, are shaped to make the engine fit into the chassis....

i know thats a lot of information at once, but you'll have to trust me

I am pretty sure if you...take out m10 w/ m10 mounts attached then drop in m20 w/ m20 mounts attached your good to go.

But you know, you could have just checked this yourself right?
                Step1: Take out m10 and m20 w/ mounts
Step2: Test fit m20 w/ whichever mounts you want

Not only that you can probably tell there's a difference visually...I hope you daily this car and can't afford to have it immobile while figuring out engine mounts, thus justifying this silly question. otherwise your just making Canadians look bad.

                    hey Jeff

so no regrets i am assuming? how many km does your m20 have on it? this one has 300000 around 160000 miles i think. And ty for the engine mount answer, all i wanted to know was if i was going to do any fabrication, so not silly, no such thing as a stupid question my friend, just uneducated and stupid answers.
